Following yesterday’s B&A (Bark & Answers) with Winston The Corgi, we are doing a show and tell of his fantastic new greeting card range – With Love From Winny The Corgi.
It's no secret - we freakin’ love Winston of @WinnyTheCorgi Instagram fame. His smiley cuteness paired with his clever use of prop-age and puns are a source of joy in our day. Working with his human Rachel for Basil’s recent all-star photo-shoots means that we get to hang out with him fairly often too and we can confirm in addition to his good looks, he’s one swell guy.
Like this week’s sizzling temperatures, human and hound style pairing is so damn hot right now. While it’s fairly easy to embrace this trend – colour matching their collar with your bag, twinning a dog bandana pattern with your top and more, we’ve spotted some buys that do the style thinking for you. Taking their lead from a dog’s accessory basics (collar and leads), we share three pet brands and their buys that will have you and your fashion hound walking in style, with serious wrist appeal for you.
-rama, is a noun suffix meaning: "sight, view, spectacular display or instance of". Add that to the end of ‘Bark’ and you get the spectacular display of the buys and doggie do’s on our radar this month.
A few weeks ago I shared a post entitled ‘how to get the best swag for less’. Based on the Instagram feedback, it seemed to strike a chord with you style-savvy, fancy product loving pack.
While more expensive, quality petwear and accessories are generally designed to stand the test of time, to get the best return on your investment you have to give your items some TLC to ensure they look tip top in the park and beyond. And even though some of your dog’s petwear might be getting put away for summer, ensure that they are clean before storing because moths are attracted to dirt and stains – and a hole-ridden doggy knit isn't going to win your pooch best in show!
To help you become a domestic dog-ess, I’ve enlisted the help of some of our favourite premium pet brands to bring you tips on how to keep your fancy pet swag looking its best.
We’re forsaking a Valentine’s gift guide this year, as there’s already a cute one from yours truly, over on the animal pages of Townandcountry.co.uk, although for a last minute addition head to The Artisan Pet Deli for tasty heart-shaped treats galore.
This post is all about pet art, which is probably one of the most heartfelt gifts you could get a dog lover. While art is very much in the eye of the beholder here’s the list of who has caught ours. Some are ready-to-go of your fave breeds, whereas others are available bespoke to your actual dog. Many of the featured artists also offer greeting cards, bags, wrapping paper and more so be sure to check out their online shops.
We've been stalling on our first post of 2016, as we wanted to kick off the year with this bobby-dazzler of a photo-shoot with pet photographer Rachel Oates, taken for the latest issue of Dog Friendly Magazine.
Our setting was Seven Dials, a truly gorgeous area tucked between Covent Garden and Soho – and one of our all time favourite shopping and hangout spots. Dog Friendly asked if we’d be kind enough to visit Bow Wow London, the award-winning dog shop to see what all the fuss was about, as well as sniffing out some of their dog-friendly neighbours.
We’ve been bursting with excitement to share this one with you and just in time for Christmas too – our little box of photo wonder from Cheerz. In case you haven't heard of Cheerz, they’re all about bringing your favourite photos to life by creating some of the prettiest, most fun photo-gifts we’ve ever seen. And you can WIN one...
