Dogs are permitted to hangout in the main bar area and the garden, and the staff could not have been more welcoming to Basil, quickly bringing him a bowl of water to our table and regularly popping back to keep him topped up with biscuit bones. However, he turned up his piggy snout at simple h2o and insisted that I open a bottle Snuffle Beer for dogs using his new Pethaus Dog ID Tag Bottle Opener (note – there’s a knack to using it).
We stuck to drinks only but if you are after a bite, there’s a tempting menu of pub grub including burgers, burritos, hot dogs, pub classics and bar snacks. Once you’re fed and / or watered, the pub is a good start to head off into vibrant neighbourhood, with a turn in one direction towards the lovely Columbia Road (flowers, cute boutiques and more) or the other in pursuit of Box Park, a pop-up mall, and Brick Lane, which is a hive of activity.
The Owl & The Pussycat is located at 34 Redchurch Street, E2 7DP. Discover their menu and more at Geronimo-inns.co.uk/london-the-owl-and-pussycat and scroll to the end of the post for the links for product links.
