Out with the old, in with the new I say. For our breed of must-have doggy buys and must-do’s, check out what's on our January radar.
WEAR: it has to be head to paws Fetch & Follow x Lead The Walk. A collaboration between some of East London’s finest, it's cool camo for canines and it’s awesome. The hero of the collection is the Waterproof Dog Coat, lined with cosy fleece so your dog will be ready to fight all this ghastly winter decide to throw at them. Spotted on some of our fave pack leaders – Basil included of course, I predict it will be this year’s doggy trophy jacket. Prices start at £12, get them while their hot > Leadthewalk.com
ACCESSORISE: ever wish your dog could talk? Well now they can with these acrylic tags of amusement from my compadre Growlmama and her muse Frida the Grenchie (who I really want to be Basil’s girlfriend). Designed as four-legged frosting for your dog’s collar or lead rather than an ID tag, they’re cool AF! Phrases vary from sweet to obnoxious (just how we like it), and priced £10 per tag, let your dog have their say @ Growlees.com
SOOTHE: snow joke that all this cold weather is rough on your dog’s paws so I keep Basil’s tootsies tip top with a slather of Wildwash Healing Paw Balm. Packed with natural ingredients including Sweet Almond Oil and Frankincense, it’s not only gentle and super conditioning (great for crusty snouts as well) but it smells delicious too so good, in fact, I’m tempted to smear it over my own hooves. Priced £12.95 > Wildwash.co.uk
