Give a Dog a Home: Battersea’s “Undateables”

Domino.jpg

I’m a huge fan of Channel 4’s Undateables programme so I'm LOVING this clever Valentine’s campaign from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, designed to highlight some of their loneliest dogs, who are in search of their perfect partner.

The home has identified its most undateable dogs, with the hope that their potential pup parents will see past their minor imperfections and give them a forever home to call their own. While the dog charity successfully re-homed thousands of dogs last year, it seems that some need an extra helping hand when it comes to meeting their perfect match ...

Have your tissues at the ready, as their personal ads will most certainly tug your heartstrings. First up is Domino, the handsome spotty chap picture above. In his own words, this eight year Dalmatian says he’s looking for a quiet life with someone, who lives life in the slow lane. He says: I’m a sweet older chap but I’m also a big scaredy-cat and turn my tail at the first sign of love. I’m so nervous about meeting new people that I’m seeking a soul mate, who can take things slow and accept me ‘spots’ and all. Once it’s just you and me you’ll see that I’m loving and affectionate – take a chance on me, I’m sure you won’t regret it. Find Domino HERE.

Next up is Ciara, a two-year old Mongrel, who’s looking for an active ally to keep up with her. She says: I dream about going on long romantic walks with that special someone but the truth is I’ve never been on a single date – no one is interested in me and I don’t know why. I’m looking for a long-term relationship and I’m a loving and affectionate girl. Could you be the one to secure me my first date? Find Ciara HERE.

And finally Mister Tony, a nine-month old Siberian Husky, who’s looking for a confident companion, who can handle a big boy! He says: I really am as soft as I look and I’ll win you over with my loving and outgoing nature. I’m looking for a special someone, who can put a bit of time into ‘us’ and give the training I need. If you share your life with me, expect your vacuum cleaner to get a regular workout and we can make dates for regular grooming sessions. I’m affectionate with so much love to give – could you be the leader of my pack? Find Mister Tony HERE.
