Hundreds of dogs were done up to the nines at the weekend at Diva Dogs Day to beat the existing world recordfor ‘most dogs in costumed attire’ and in the words of event organiser, Louise Harris, they ‘smashed it’ with a whopping 650 done up in all their finery!
Diva doggies had gathered en mass at Diva Dogs Day in Essex, and just like a scene in TOWIE, it was all about the bling, flashy outfits, big (and in many cases dyed) hair and painted ‘claws’. Even the canine celebs turned up to party including Top Dog Model contestants Daisy (pictured above), Carlos, Scarlett and lion-like Simba.
Not letting their fancy outfits go to waste, dogs of all shapes and sizes competed in classes including Handsomest Hound, Blingy-est Bitch, Pimped Pooch and of course the ultimutt crowns – Mr and Miss Diva Dog 2012.
Every diva dog knows it’s important that you look your best so four-legged guests were able to check out every essential to keep them ahead of the pack – swarovski collars, organic food, luxury fur-care products, doggie treadmills should you have been overdoing the gourmet treats and professional photographers to put together your pup portfolio. There was also a fashion show showcasing the latest in canine couture.
