Event: Best-Dressed, Ruff-le Prizes & Kisses at the All About Dogs Show Brentwood

This weekend (10 & 11 May), Basil and I will be hanging with the hounds of Essex at the All About Dogs show, at the Brentwood Robin Hood Game & Country Show. Join us for a fun day out where we will be judging the best dressed dogs in the County, hosting a ‘Ruff-le’ extravaganza for prizes worth £600+ and best of all, Basil will be puckering up for charity in a retro kissing booth.

All About Dogs offers heaps of fun for all the family, with dazzling arena displays, breed stands, shopping stalls, have-go-activities such as agility, and lots of dog shows. Oh and your dog is welcome too …

You’ll find Basil & I at the Bark Buster’s Home Dog Training Fun Dog Show arena, hosted by their Essex representative Jo Milgrew. Catering to large dogs on Saturday and smaller dogs on Sunday, the dog show kicks off daily at midday with pooches parading their woof-wares for titles such as Butchest Essex Boy Dog, Best Dog with Young Handler and Best Dressed Dog, the latter of which will be judged by Barkarama’s resident style guru Basil the Boston Terrier. Entries cost £2 per class with the proceeds donated to charity – see below. To find out how to enter, click HERE.

As well as sniffing out the Best Dressed, Basil and I will also be hosting a ‘Ruff-le’, for one lucky winner and two runners up to win an assortment of fabulous prizes worth over £600 including:

Here's just a few of the fab prizes up for grabs, head to our Facebook gallery to see the rest.

If you fancy a smooch with a cute pooch, Basil will be puckering up and dishing out the cuddles for charity, in a retro kissing booth kindly donated by Essex events company Bespoke Belle. Charging 50p for his affections, Basil will be donating his hard earned cash, to the German Shepherd Rescue Elite and local charity, Wanderers Haven Animal Sanctuary.

German Shepherd Rescue Elite aims to help unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds, and to educate the general public on the responsibilities and pros and cons of owning a large working breed dog. The charity is close to the show organiser, Jo Milgrew’s heart doing lots of training with the breed.

Wanderers Haven Animal Sanctuary is a local non-profit Essex based charity, which takes in and re-homes any animal, no matter their shape or size. Founded in 1961, their Sanctuary is based in Cranham, Essex and they have rescued everything from guinea pigs, to dog, to horses. They have a non-destruction policy and offer any of their re-homers a Life Time Adoption should they find they can no longer care for the animal.

All About Dogs take place from 10-5pm on 10 and 11 May at the Robin Hood Game & Country Show at the Brentwood Centre, Doddinghurst Road, Brentwood, Essex CM15 9NN. Tickets are priced £2 for children and £7 for adults. To find out more and to purchase advance tickets, visit Robinhoodcountryshow.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Ruff-le Terms & Conditions: only one entry per person. Anyone entering the draw gives their consent to their name featuring in our winners’ announcement post on Barkarama.co.uk, to be published at 9am on 17.05.14. If you are one of our lucky winners, look out for a confirmation email of your win in your inbox.
