Dog-Friendly Fast Food in Shoreditch

Shoreditch and Hoxton were the original Fri-Sun party spots of my twenties, and even though the area has changed significantly sprawling London’s own Silicon Valley and chains a-plenty, I still have a lot of love for this area. When it comes to drinks, eats, shopping and fun the area still retains its appeal with loads of great spots to offer, and with its relaxed vibe it's a pretty good place to hangout with your hound too.

How To Get The Best Pet Swag For Less

I won't lie; through our time blogging on Barkarama, Basil has been sent an impressive selection of petwear, doggy stuff and a small mountain of treats to review and chomp his way through, as well as being on the guest lists for some Very Important Pet events.

The above said I’m far from shy about putting my hand in my pocket when it comes to spoiling him or dealing with his everyday doggy needs. But in the same way I shop for myself, I prioritise going for the best I can afford but if there’s a way to save without compromising on quality or style I’m all over it. In this post, I share eight tips on how to get the best pet swag and tuck for less.

Woof_Models_Pet_Art.jpg

We’re forsaking a Valentine’s gift guide this year, as there’s already a cute one from yours truly, over on the animal pages of Townandcountry.co.uk, although for a last minute addition head to The Artisan Pet Deli for tasty heart-shaped treats galore.

Some are ready-to-go of your fave breeds, whereas others are available bespoke to your actual dog. Many of the featured artists also offer greeting cards, bags, wrapping paper and more so be sure to check out their online shops.

Self Improvement | Working on My Canine-Snappin’ Skills

dog-with-camera-wallpaper.jpg

I’ve never been one to share much of my own photography on Barkarama, mainly due to the fact that I’m not very good or confident with a camera. I envy the skills of fashion and lifestyle bloggers, who get snap happy to create beautiful/stylish/inspiring content, and with such a handsome boy as Basil, my skill shortage has been frustrating the hell out of me. I was fortunate enough to receive a hand-me-down SLR from my dad but as someone who prefers to learn by doing, I couldn’t be faffed with the manual and I’ve been stuck in ‘Auto’ mode ever since.

Shopping for | Dog & Cat Stationery for National Stationery Week

original_dog-shape-ballpoint-pen.jpg

Even as a responsible adult I still find myself getting excited about stationery, so when we got wind of a week celebrating the magic that is pretty paper, cute note cards and more, we jumped at the chance to blog about some of our pet-themed finds.

National Stationery Week (27 April to 23 May) is designed to encourage people, especially kids, to put pen to paper to write their personal correspondence and notes, rather than texting, emailing, day-dreaming and list-making on their nearest device.
